INFERTILITY

Worldwide around 1 out of 8 couples suffer from fertility issues.

Infertility is diagnosed when a couple cannot conceive even after regular unprotected sex for about 12 months.

I am not here to talk about the causes, symptoms or treatments of infertility.

My post is dedicated to the struggles a couple faces while they are dealing with infertility and how our support can make a great difference in their lives.

Infertility is a taboo in our country and Is not very freely spoken about. Infertility can feel like a hopeless sentence for people dreaming of having a baby. The struggles of going through regular ovulation studies, IVF treatments, medications, tests can all be very heartbreakingly painful,  not only financially is it draining for a couple,  but also it's an emotional roller coaster where they undergo feelings of fear,  anxiety, worry,  fatigue,  helplessness,  grief,  depression ,hopelessness and much more. 
Fear of taking a pregnancy test,  anxiety about how the therapy proceeds and concerns about the results of treatments can be very frustrating.  

So take a second to think before , the next time you ask someone- “WHEN ARE YOU HAVING A BABY?” they may or may not want one. No matter the reason, it is not our business! Or , you don’t know how hard they might be trying.

For those struggling, Know that a pregnancy kit does not define you , and you are a beautiful human being never the less. You don’t have to feel depressed, isolated, lonely or inferior. You are definitely not alone in your journey and you are valued for what you are.

Share your experiences rather than building them up inside you, you never know how much support you would have. Self-compassion and self-care are extremely important, please don’t be too hard on yourself.

KNOW THAT THERE IS ALWAYS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL AND SOMETIMES ITS HARD TO SEE THE RAINBOW WHEN THERE’S BEEN ENDLESS DAYS OF RAIN.

    Its really a sensitive topic to be spoken upon and i really appreciate that u put it so well that it would make dem feel better. I have so many friends whp face this n they really suffer from deep pain inside. Lets just pray May Aqa Husain bless them wid child soon. Ameen
